practicing with Bjorn Borg in Stockholm. "I guess he's too tough for me,"
said Gunnarsson.
Competes in the German league "Bundesliga" for five weeks during the
summer.
Reached the semifinals at the 1989 Australian Open, defeating Henri
Leconte and Jonas Svensson along the way. It was his best Grand Slam result.
Compiled a 22-18 match record and finished No. 29 on the ATP computer in
1989, his seventh straight top 100 ranking.
