2010 Wimbledon finalist Tomas Berdych continued to roll at The All England Club, defeating Alex Bogomolov Jr. 6-2, 6-4, 6-3 in the third round Saturday.

The No. 6 seed fired 16 aces and did not face a break point, winning 80 per cent of his service points to overwhelm the American. Berdych is yet to drop a set, and has lost just 21 games in his first three matches. Bogomolov was appearing in the third round of a Grand Slam event for the first time.

In the fourth round, the Czech will square off against 10th-seeded Mardy Fish for the first time. The American led Robin Haase 6-3, 6-7(5), 6-2, 1-1 before the Dutchman retired from their third-round encounter. Fish consistently applied pressure on Haase’s serve but was only able to convert three breaks in 20 chances. The win gives Fish his best result at The Championships, having lost in the third round on three other occasions.

Qualifier Lukasz Kubot upset No. 9 seed Gael Monfils in four sets, defeating the Frenchman 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3. Kubot hit 50 winners to become the first Polish player to reach the round of 16 at Wimbledon since Wojtek Fibak in 1981. It also equals Kubot's best major result, when he advanced to the fourth round of the Australian Open in 2009.
